Mississippi Mushrooms is an urban mushroom farm in the Minneapolis Upper Harbor Terminal complex on the banks of the Mississippi river. Our growing process recycles locally sourced waste materials like sawdust and spent brewer’s grain, and does not include any synthetic or toxic chemicals. Substrate materials are inoculated with fungi in a specially designed clean-room and transferred to climate controlled growing chambers for year-round production of mushrooms and compost.
Our products are available at coops and restaurants in the Twin Cities and we are confident that you will find our mushrooms to be the freshest and highest quality available anywhere.
How To Find Us
Our farm is located in the middle of an out-of-the-way industrial park and is a little hard to find. To get to the entrance of the Port of Minneapolis (our home) go to: 3800 1st St N, Minneapolis, MN 55412
From 3800 1st St N go east through a gate and toward the Mississippi river. Take a right and head south along the west side of the storage domes until you get to a large warehouse. Our entrance is at the southeast corner of the warehouse.
